MOMENTA is a preeminent institution for the study and performance of ballet and modern dance in Chicago. Its highly committed students cross the entire economic and physiological strata. MOMENTA has had a hugely positive impact on the lives of thousands of young people, and has given great pleasure to its many audiences. MOMENTA established, with great success, the Pinnacle Foundation Matching Program. Under this program MOMENTA doubles the amount of the Foundation's annual grant each year through additional matching donations from faculty, students, families and alumni. We are glad that funds provided by the Pinnacle Foundation serve as a catalyst for giving from other people directly involved in MOMENTA.
Hands on Helping
Founded by Pinnacle Yachts team member Ryan Anderson, Hands on Helping is a grass roots organization that establishes orphanages and schools in Southeast Asia. Ryan and his associates have made a substantial difference in the lives of hundreds of impoverished children in their decade-plus years of work in the region. In 2010, Hands on Helping built the Pinnacle Foundation Community Classroom in Andong, Cambodia. This humble school is well on its way to teaching 10,000 English and related classes to local people so that they may be employed in the region's growing tourism trade. Helping people help themselves is an excellent use of charity funds. The Pinnacle Foundation is proud to support Ryan and his team in this wonderful work.
Parents Allied with Children and Teachers for Tomorrow (PACTT) is a remarkable organization that, among other things, purchases houses, rehabs them, and places young adults with Autism in these homes. PACTT then provide special-needs caregivers and instructors to teach these wonderful young people work skills so that they may reach their highest potential as productive members of society. Helping parents and the community take care of their own children is and highly effective use of funds. The Pinnacle Foundation is pleased to support this proactive parent-teacher driven organization that has made a huge impact on the lives of these great young people, who, in-turn, add much to the communities in which they reside.
