SOS Children's Villages Illinois, founded over 25 years ago, is a nonprofit, child welfare agency that serves children in foster care and at-risk youth in communities surrounding its sites. The SOS Children's Villages model of care differs from traditional foster care by keeping brothers and sisters together in an SOS Illinois single-family home, where they are cared for by a full-time, professionally trained foster parent and surrounded by a community of support.

MOMENTA Dance Company

MOMENTA is a preeminent institution for the study and performance of ballet and modern dance in Chicago. Its highly committed students cross the entire economic spectrum. MOMENTA is also a physically integrated dance company and features dancers with and without disabilities. MOMENTA has had a hugely positive impact on the lives of thousands of young people, and has given great pleasure to its many audience members.

 

MOMENTA established the Pinnacle Foundation Matching Program. Under this program MOMENTA doubles the amount of the Foundation's annual grant each year through additional matching donations from faculty, students, families and alumni.  We are glad that funds provided by the Pinnacle Foundation serve as a catalyst for giving from other people directly involved in MOMENTA.

PACTT, Parents Allied with Children and Teachers for Tomorrow, is an organization that creates educational, residential, and vocational programs to support children and adults with autism in becoming engaged members of their families and communities. PACTT programs include school, transition and adult vocational services, as well as child and adult residential homes. Together with families and communities, PACTT aims to create a world where participants are respected for the value they add to the lives of those with whom they work and live.

The West Suburban Special Recreation Association is part of local park districts or village recreation programs. They provide recreation programs for adults and children who have a physical impairment, a mental disability, or any other type of disability.

 

They provide first class program opportunities, distinctive customer service, reliable transportation, professional, caring staff, and a safe and fun environment. Through WSSRA, residents of all ages can participate in year-round programming specifically designed to meet their individual needs.

Misericordia

Misericordia offers a community of care that maximizes potential for persons with mild to profound developmental disabilities, many of whom are also physically challenged.  By serving society’s most vulnerable citizens, Misericordia also serves the families who want the best for them, yet cannot provide it at home.

Through a spectrum of residential options on its 31-acre Chicago campus and in the community, and with a wide variety of programs, Misericordia currently serves more than 600 children and adults residentially, from diverse racial, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. Misericordia offers a continuum of care to meet their diverse needs and aspires for each individual to live as independently as possible in the highest level of community integration feasible.

City of Big Shoulders General Fund

 

The City of Big Shoulders General Fund is a special purpose fund of the Pinnacle Foundation that is used to assist small organizations immediately, as compelling needs arise. These may include not-for-profit efforts to heighten safety, provide educational assistance, foster youth groups, and support artistic endeavors.
